The Root Control Discs or RCD™s are designed to fit the 1Pot system, the easy2grow Kit & the 2Pot extension trays to extend the easy2grow Kit. These discs are black & gold in colour and are placed in the tray underneath the pot, gold face up. The purpose of the Root Control Disc is to prevent roots from leaving the pot & heading towards the AQUAvalve. They are very effective due to the special metallic gold coating. Please note that roots even though they are tender have the ability to go through concrete, therefore it is wise to occasionally lift the pot to see if any have managed to escape the barrier. If so you can simply cut away the roots with a pair of scissors. This will in no way harm the plant. Although the discs will last several seasons it is advisable to replace the discs at the beginning of each season, this will prevent any disease from being transferred if present.

Marix Discs are designed to fit the 1Pot system, the easy2grow Kit & the 2Pot extension trays to extend the easy2grow Kit. The discs are black in colour and are placed inside the pot. The purpose of the Marix Disc is to prevent compost or soil from leaving the pot, keeping the system clean & the AQUAvalve free from debris. They will also provide minimum protection from escaping roots. The AQUAvalve is supplied with all the AutoPot Watering Systems. Once connected to the water supply the AQUAvalve will control the flow of water to the plants, by simple gravity pressure from a tank or water butt, no pumps, mains water pressure, electricity or timers are required. Once connected to a tank the AQUAvalve will open and allow water to fill the tray to a preset level of 20mm. The AQUAvalve will not refill the tray until all the water has been used allowing the plant to go through a wet & dry cycle. Once all the water has been used by the plants the AQUAvalve will re-open and refill the tray. The AQUAvalve is a simple but very effective watering device and needs to be treated with care. Keep the AQUAvalve and the tray it sits in clean, free of obstructions, soil particles and it will help you water & feed your plants for many years. The AQUAvalve is guaranteed for 12 months.
Give your plants a lift with AirBase. This handy plate fits into the bottom of your pot during set up and allows you to sidestep the use of a pebble layer for drainage. Whilst simple, cheap, and effective, the preparation, pH balancing, and use of pebbles can be a chore. Simply drop AirBase in instead and you’re away. The AirDome has been designed to increase the amount of air around the root zone in the pot.
